G's Birthday

Rain pours heavily from last night till this evening, non-stop. Flood everywhere. Can't go out cos the traffic is really really bad. I heard some people can't even go back to their own house cos the water is already 30-50cm high. Thank God that our neighborhood is flood free ^^. This is already the second year that Glen's birthday showered with heavy rain which flooded the road. Since we are not going out of the house that soon, so we decided to celebrate the night at home. Cut cake, make wish, open present. Lucky that cake and present bought before hand :D

'the birthday cheesecake with 23 candles surrounding, from Miki Ojisan'

'the special (non-blow) candles make a disaster'

'what a birthday boy got to do what a birthday boy got to do'

'still burning after many attempt of blowing it off'

'in the end we had to put it in the sink and pour water to make it stop'

'the after effect (the wax...yikes!)'

'a slice please'

'last but not least'

'initial broidered towel'

'broidered towel & baseball beanless bag chair'

Hope you like the present my brother!
Happy Birthday:)

Another Favors

Another great invitation comes with another great favors. This time, lots of the favor I got mostly favorable to the woman. Like this beautiful beige box tied with silver ribbon. Inside is a grey pashmina. Very elegant.

Next is peach colour box with a small ribbon accent. Inside is a blank notebook with the same colour combination. The colour it's so pretty that I’m sure every woman who got one of this just awing.

Another Ooh! So gorgeous box. Silvery pink box filled with jelly candy. A 'sweet' gift. The box has a magnetic lock. So it will close off tight.

Then there is this oil lamp, simple yet useful for the romantic moment.

Last but not least the perfect blend gift consisting of biscuit, coffee and a cup. Perfect for a moment to know each other even better.

The Trip

So excited! My first trip to Surabaya :D Thanks to Ellen for having her wedding ceremony at Surabaya. As one of her bridesmaid, automatic compliment flight to Surbaya HOHOHO. Andy (another cousin of mine) and I flew out first with Ellen's family. Cos we have to be in the rehearsal held 2 days before the wedding. Then the other family members will fly out the next day. Unfortunately the trip started with a delay. Arghhh! Supposed to board the plane by 9am and guess what! The flight was delayed till 2pm. Crappy! How "NICE", Ya right! 0_O' So we waited 5 hours at the airport lounge. Eating, playing cards, watching people passed by and we even play counting to how many Indonesian artist we saw :P Other than that the trip went great.

'while waiting at the airport lounge'

'happy go lucky'

'killing time'

'arrive at last, on the way to the church for rehearsal'

'in the church, looking at the program book'

'here comes the bride and the father of the bride, walking on the isle practise'

'listening to instruction'

'dinner time at a resto called Kayangan (heaven)'

'just the three of us'

'mother and daughters'

'the house'

after dinner we went to see the couple new house before heading back to the hotel and get rest after a really tiring day.

'greeting from Beefy to start the day:)'

Next morning have wake up early as possible to catch on the breakfast buffet since it closes at 10am. Some of us haven’t even taken our bath yet and we already have to go down to the restaurant. Forgive us for being so euy…:P but what can we do hehehe…

'Andy and his waffle for breakfast'

'other selection for breakfast buffet'

'basket of cereals?'

Afternoon is free. Other than the mother of the bride, who supposed to go for a make up test, the rest can go jalan-jalan (sight seeing). But, eventually it was not a good day to go sight seeing cos it rain heavily outside and we have no transport. So we rested at the hotel. Not long after the organizer called saying he managed to find a transport to drop us at the nearest mall. So we start to move our butt go down to look for the driver. Had our lunch at the mall (crap I forgot what that mall name is)

'Waiting for the food to come'

'Bistik (luncheon meat with eat and veggie top with gravy)'

'Pecel Bebek (fried duck with sambal)'

After lunch we went back to the hotel to greet the rest of the family, which just arrive from Jakarta. (then story continues to the wedding event)

'the next morning tired look, after the wedding. Same restaurant for breakfast'

'coffee'

'toast'

after breakfast we have to get ready to airport and head back to Jakarta.

'December festive season, the Christmas tree in the hotel lobby, with a cooking theme'

'very tall ya?!'

'bye-bye to the hotel we stayed in'

and the trip ends.
Though it was just a short visit which mostly occupied by the wedding, but we definitely had a good time.
Thanks to David n Ham2! :)
