The Surprise To Remember

'Thank You, You Guys...!'

I got a shock of my life. Never before, somebody threw me a birthday surprise. And today, finally I got one. Yippee! The last time I was in for a surprise is back when I was still in Singapore, studying for the first time abroad, far away from my family. I still remember I was sitting in front of the TV at my boarding house watching my 7 o clock mandarin TV show. When suddenly were there appeared my parents who usually told me whenever they wanted to visit me. It was a pleasant, no it was a great surprise. And today I got another great surprise.

My colleagues gave me a fright at my house in my OWN room. For once I thought I was seeing something that I wasn’t supposed to see. The day goes by as usual, my colleague didn’t seem any suspicious at all, until when I was about to go home. I usually am the first one to go home from the office. But today a couple of my colleagues went home first. I wanted to ask them out for a dinner together, but I thought they were in a hurry so I didn’t ask. On the way to the car planning to go home, a colleague asked me if he could come along because he’s going on the same way as I was. Halfway through our trip, he asked me to accompany him to the mall. I thought, why not, I wasn’t in a hurry after all. After a quick trip to the mall, we parted ways he stayed at the mall and I went home. When I arrived, I saw a black Avanza, never came to mind that it was my colleagues. I still thought it was my brother’s friend car. I went up to my room and there I saw a couple of drinks and snack not yet drank or eaten. I quickly went to find my brother, wanted to ask him what he was doing in my room. But he’s nowhere to be found. So I went back to the room get ready to bath after a tiring day at the office, when suddenly I saw the bathroom door moving in the dark. My heart was already pumping; I even called my brother’s name to check whether it was him. Suddenly “SURPRISE!!!” there they were my colleagues who have been hiding in my bathroom with the cake and the poppers. My gosh, you got to see how my face was. I don’t know whether it was happy or terrified. Too bad I didn’t have the photo, since I wasn’t the one who gave the surprise, and none of my colleague remembers to bring a camera. It was fun!!! Thank you, friends! You just make another memorable day of my life.
