Italian Craving

I couldn't sleep last night till about 2am, so I turned on the TV hoping that it would help me sleep. I was watching this TV channel called the Asian Food Channel and at 2AM they were showing a program where the host went for an Italian Journey. Stupid me for continuing to watch, it wasn't only making me hungry, I couldn't sleep even more. The AL Dante linguine steaming hot was put onto the plate, then she poured the Carbonara sauce with a little of lemon juice to brings out the flavour and then top with the parsley garnish. The mouth watering night just tortured me. Lord, have mercy! So I quickly turned off the TV and try to read the most boring novel. The next morning, I totally craved for an Italian. The nearest Italian restaurant is Pasta de Waraku. From the name itself I bet you know that it isn't the traditional Italian. Yep2 you're right, this is a Japanese Italian restaurant. Well better than nothing, this better cure my cravings :D

A gift from a friend's daughter birthday. Aren't these cute... I just don't have the heart to eat it, it is just too cute too be eaten. ^-^

Korean Night

Do you like to watch Korean drama? Korean drama makes me crave for Korean food sometimes. So we decided to have a Korean dinner at Han Gang. Korean food sure isn’t cheap; it was even more expensive than Japanese food. But it was nice trying on new things:)

It's about time for McD to have the breakfast menu here in Indonesia. :P it's been to long... Good thing they starting to serve breakfast. Oh and even better, they are serving breakfast starting at 5am the difference of staying here in Indonesia. People got up earlier than the rest of the world. Are they just 2 hard working? Or simply just enjoying the morning... Anyway, time to get up and go. Sausage McMuffin, here I come. Have a great morning everyone... And Njoy :)

Nothing To Do Activity

Well… is quiet at the office, so we decided to skip our “class” and head out to Bogor. Bad decision! TRAFFIC sucks!!! Big time! Usually it will take just an hour to Bogor. But today… it almost felt like a whole day trip. It felt even longer when the purpose was only to eat burjo aka bubur kacang ijo (mung bean porridge). There’s this small stall in Bogor called Guan Tjo (near the Bogor market) who sells burjo for a long time. Man you got to try it for yourself. It was nothing like you ever taste before. The bean is nicely cooked not too hard not too soggy as well. Together with the just the right amount sweetness of the santen (coconut gravy?!) just imagining it making me feel hungry right now. Its really is to die for. :D So whenever you visited Bogor don’t forget to visit this stall, ya!

Saturday Brunch

We tried out this new franchised restaurant at Plaza Indonesia. It's called The Marmalade Pantry. Nice cozy place for a brunch. Is just that the meal size is rather big for a brunch. Also... I was wondering why they aren't serving any marmalade at all? *considering the name the of the place. Other than that, the food was ok. Nothing in particular to my liking, but the way they served the food is great. Beautifully served. :P

Kuinshinbo?!

We tried out a new restaurant at FX today. Well it wasn’t really a resto, more like a modern look of a food court. Kuinshinbo (meaning: a boy who likes to eat) a small food court consisting of all Japanese food from appetizer to dessert all there. It’s very cute or should I say KAWAII… :D food court decorated to look like a little town of Japan.

It was fun. Oh and have I told you, I was so tempt to bring home the icy display. Look so real, it even tempts us to order one. Though it wasn’t as good as it look but it was worth it. ^-^ nyum nyum…

Really Plain

I went to lunch with Sur today at Senci. We were so confused of where to eat, so we picked Spageddies at level 3. Sur ordered a spaghetti carbonara and I ordered for rolled pasta with 2 saucing.
And you know something, it was so shocking. Look! When you ordered spaghetti carbonara, it was really SPAGHETTI with CARBONARA sauce.
It was so PLAIN! No beef no sausage, nothing! At first I thought this exclusive franchised restaurant food would be great, but clearly wasn’t as good. No it was baddddd!!! Sigh! After the bad lunch, we had out for a dessert luckily there was Sour Sally. Now everything black and white turns all colorful again :D

Heavenly Blush

Eating yogurt is part of the trend now in Jakarta. After the booming best selling yogurt parlor, Sour Sally make its debut back a year ago, now there are more and more places selling yogurt as well. Heavenly Blush is one of them. Open at Pondok Indah Mall making so much easier for me to buy yogurt whenever I crave for one. The taste, I might say is more or less the same with Sour Sally. I’m loving the place décor, all pinky and flowery. I wish my room décor is as cheerful as it. :P so for you who haven’t try eating the low fat yogurt, you should start trying for one. Sour Sally/Heavenly Blush? Both are good…. *Damn! I’m craving for one now :P

Farewell Princess Ange

It’s coming to the end of the month, means its Anggie’s last day of stay here in Artek. We initially planned a Bogor trip for Anggie’s farewell party. But everything changed. On the day we were supposed to go, it was raining heavily and some of us couldn't make it due to work busy schedule. It was a pity that everything changed, because it would be a nice way to bid good luck and moving on. Anyway, in the end it comes to a Saturday lunch farewell at Pancious in Permata Hijau. There was a lunch, as always the photo moment, reading of friends’ letter, and a big group hugs in the end :D It was sad… well especially during the reading, but it was for a greater good. Ange good luck in the new office ya… We’ll miss you :’)
